Meet the High School Staff-
Hello, I'm Kristen Hill.
This is my third year at TZTS as a paraprofessional and my first year in the Special Education department. My mother, Valerie Hill, was the HS/MS art teacher at TZ for many years, so I grew up going to powwows at the old gym and helping with concessions when she was the senior class advisor.
After spending four years in the Navy as a sonar technician, I used the MGIB to finish a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 2008. I spent two years as a speech language pathology assistant at Westside Elementary School, working with preschool children both at the public schools and at the SWO Headstart programs.
As a middle-aged introvert, I love reading, writing, and playing video games. My best buddies are my two bearded dragons, Beau and Rudy, who I take to my parents' farm during the summer to get sunshine and exercise.

Megan Hilpert
About me: Hi, I'm the High School Counselor and my main focus when working with the students is Academics, College, and Career. I've been working in education for 20 years. I live on my family farm and have 3 children. Our English Mastiff, Rainbow Princess, aka Bo-Bo is a student favorite when he visits school.
Education: I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Education from Northern State University and after 9 years of teaching, I completed my Master's Degree in School Counseling.

About me: I am the HS Principal. I have three daughters and they all love to play golf. I enjoy working with kids and watching them learn.
Education: I earned my undergrad at Metropolitan State College of Denver, then moved to SD and received my masters in school counseling. I few years later I earned my specialist degree in administration. I have been at Tiospa Zina a total of 22 years.

About me: I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker for Middle School and High School. I have worked at TZ for a total of 6 years. I have three children, all girls. I love working out, traveling to new places, eating good food and spending time with my tiwahe.
Education: I earned my bachelor's degree in social work from Presentation Collage in Aberdeen, SD. I then obtained my master's degree in clinical social work from the University of South Dakota. Go Yotes! 🙂 I am currently working towards my private independent practice clinical license.
